On Wednesday I took the exam, and I walked away from it feeling like I did well. Without knowing how I did on the first exam, I plunged ahead with my studying for the other one. Even though I felt well about it, I was still apprehensive/nervous about discovering my score! I became quiet a grump towards the end of the week. I was so nervous about this exam because only 40% of the class will pass the course. The statistic then goes on to say that whoever passes this course has a 90% chance of passing the NCLEX, which is the state licensing exam. I needed at least a 70% on this exam to pass the course, and even though I had not scored that low on any of the exams, I will still terrified. I learned so much through this semester, and I was overwhelmed when studying.
My final on Friday was at 7:30 AM, but I believe that I was experiencing an adrenaline rush. I was ready to get it over with. I took the exam, and with every question I gained confidence. I was able to answer the questions without looking at the "multiple choice" options. I felt again that I was comfortable with the way I had performed. I was still grouchy because I wanted to find out what I had scored.
I discovered on Friday afternoon that I received an A on the final I took on Wednesday. I found out tonight that I received a B+ on my Friday exam! I passed the semester. Only one semester left in the "worst" year of Nursing School, and I'm doing well so far! Prayers work!
Yes they do! and hard work and being able to shut out everything else going on the world....You are an animal, Mrs. Londt and you will go far!! Congratulations. I always think the fall semester is the worst one.
