Visitors from Indiana

My grandparents and niece visited us this past week; it was such a nice visit!  It was our first visit from members of my family.  I can't believe that my grandparents drove from Indiana with a five-year-old!  We did many fun things around our area.  We went to the library, which Madelynn loved.  We also re-visited the pumpkin patch, so Madelynn and the girls could go together.  All of us went to Ikea.  Everyone had a nice time there; Jimmy received a playmat.  All three of the girls received flashlights and a stuffed animal.  My girls have been carrying both around constantly since.  Friday was my grandma's birthday, and we celebrated at my cousin's house.  Grandma wanted to get some souvenirs, so we went to the Fort Worth Stockyards too.

All of the girls got along very well.  They decorated pumpkins and loved playing together.  In fact every night the girls slept together on an air mattress together in their room.  I think my grandparents especially loved meeting and getting to hold Jimmy Boy! He is a very well-tempered baby and behaved great.  It was sad to see them go, but hopefully we'll be able to go to Indiana soon.

Pumpkin Patch

As part of our annual fall tradition, we went to a pumpkin patch.  Our sister-in-law, Heidi, took some pictures for us while we were there.  The girls were very happy to go to the pumpkin patch, and they had a great time playing; they worked very hard on filling a wagon with pumpkins and trying to move the wagon around.  It was Jimmy's first year, and he behaved very well (even though he did have a major blowout that was hilarious!)

3-Year-Portraits

I know this is a long-time coming, but the girl's three year portraits turned out very nice!

Greetings from Texas

On July 2, our fifth wedding anniversary, our little family moved to Texas!  Considering we had two 3-year-olds and a very pregnant woman, I think the trip went pretty well.  When we arrived home, Joe and his family left us some very nice gifts to welcome us. These gifts included cowgirl boots for the girls, which they adore!  We're getting settled here in TX, and so far we have loved it.  The girls definitely love being so close to their Londt cousins.  I am in the process of getting my Texas nursing license, and I will soon begin the process of looking for employment.

Here is a picture of the girls on the Fourth of July.

A few weeks ago we visited the Water Gardens and the Botanical Gardens.  We had a lot of fun doing that even though it was pretty hot (I know, I know something that should just be expected!).  So far the girls haven't really noticed or complained about it being too hot for them.

Recently we went to the Science and History Museum in Fort Worth and had a nice time.  The girls really enjoyed a section where they could pretend they were in a market.  They also really liked pretending to dig for dinosaur bones in another section.  Jimmy behaved very well and slept the entire time.

He's here!

Our little boy arrived on August 5, 2015.  We named him James William Londt, Jr; we've decided to call him Jimmy.  His sisters have dubbed him "Jimmy Boy". He weighed 8 lbs and was 20 in long (considerably bigger than his big sisters).  He was born here in Texas at Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital HEB.  Other than some jaundice, he is perfectly healthy.  My labor with him was much shorter than the girls.  We're so excited that he's here, and the girls love being big sisters!

Memorial Day

This Memorial Day we went to Jim's grandparent's house.  While there we had some maternity pictures taken, and the girls went on a small boat ride with Jim.  Katie really enjoyed playing in a sandbox, and Jubilee really enjoyed riding a duck toy they have.

A very important update for our family is that we will be moving to Texas.  Jim received a transfer from work, and he is already there.  Once everything gets set up, the girls and I will be heading down there.  Hopefully, this will be before the baby is born.  Both of our families have been very hospitable and flexible during this time.  Jim is staying with his brother and his family, while the girls and I are alternating between Jims mom's house and my grandparents.  We're wanting to get to Texas as soon as we possibly can; we're definitely excited to get there.

Fort Wayne Botanical Gardens

In an effort to try to explore Ft. Wayne, Jim and I have been trying to find things for us to do.  We've found a nice indoor park and the Ft. Wayne Zoo.  I wanted to try the Ft. Wayne Botanical Gardens; they currently have a butterfly exhibit that I knew the girls would really enjoy.  Both of the girls did pretty well not touching the plants, and they both loved the butterflies.  Some of the butterflies were rather large and looked like they were roughly the size of Jim's hand.  We spent a nice afternoon there.

Last weekend we celebrated Susan's 60th birthday.  I was put on-call for work, surprisingly, so I was able to make it to the party.  Jim's brother, Joe, was able to fly in as a surprise for the party.  We were also able to spend some time with all of Jim's siblings after the party.  I know the girls really enjoyed seeing all of their relatives from out-of-town.

Family Vehicle

With the next member of our family arriving in August, Jim and I decided it was time to get a different vehicle.  We weren't able to get our Jeep Cherokee repaired last August, so we have been using a loaner car from Susan since then.  Jim researched everything to decide what car would meet our family needs.  He finally decided that a newer Honda Pilot would be a good fit for us. So, we went around Ft. Wayne and found a 2012 Honda Pilot that appears to be perfect for us.  During the first family ride in the car, Jubilee quickly pronounced, "I like this car!".

Easter Weekend

This past holiday weekend was fun and busy.  I decided to take the weekend off from work (I'm only allowed to take one weekend off every quarter), so we could celebrate the girls turning three on Saturday and celebrate Easter on Sunday.

We had a Tinkerbell party for the girls because that seems to be one of their favorite current Disney characters.  This was the first year where the girls definitely knew the party was for them because they kept asking when their "cake party" was going to start.  Katie and Jubilee seemed to enjoy themselves, and I think they mainly enjoyed seeing family members they don't get to see too often.  The funniest part of their party was the many changes in outfits they had.  My mom gave them Cinderella outfits, which they immediately wanted to put on.  Their Aunt Kristen made them tutus, which they also wanted to put on.

Many of our relatives stayed in Ft. Wayne on Saturday night, so we could all go to our church on Easter morning.  After church everyone came back to our home and had lunch.  We then had an Easter egg hunt outside for Katie, Jubilee, and Madelynn.  After everyone found their eggs, they decided to combine all of their eggs and re-pick them up.  Three years ago we were bringing home our precious twins home from the hospital after being born on Good Friday.
