Jim and I have been very hesitant about letting the girls feed themselves. We were mainly worried about the mess involved with them feeding themselves. Plus it would be hard to give one of them individual attention/help if things weren't going smoothly. I was personally worried about giving one of them attention and the other one throwing her food on the floor. Well, last night I was feeling adventurous and decided to give it a try. I decided something easy of hamburger meat with mashed potatoes and vegetables.
The girls did better than I expected. Jubilee really tried to feed me, which was funny. Katie took it very seriously, and she was really good about holding onto the plate of food while scooping. Both of them used their left hand to hold their silverware! Who knows, they might be lefties like their Mommy? The mess wasn't even that hard to pick up. It was a great first experience!
