James and I went to a pet store on Tuesday to purchase another hermit crab. I had done some research on hermit crabs on the internet to help optimize our care for Herman. I discovered that despite their "hermit" name, hermit crabs are very social and prefer to live in groups. I felt awful for Herman, so I convinced James that we needed to get Herman some company.

We walked into the pet store, and I instantly go to the puppy section. Who doesn't? Well, I walked in the room (because this store has a separate room for pups), and in the back wall by herself was a Pug! I've always wanted a Pug! James had told me before we were married that someday I could have a Pug, but I wasn't expecting one anytime soon. I instantly gravitated over to her cage to get a closer look. She was sitting in her little bed almost asleep. I called out to James to come look at this adorable dog. He looked at her, and then he looked at my half-crazed/excited face. She was definitely a calm-natured dog because she wasn't barking like the other ones, and she just sat there in her bed looking at me. James told me that I could have her if I could get her to walk over to me. I got her to, so James, smiling his half grin, said that we could add her to our family!! As we went up to buy her, I told James that we are the most random people that I know. We left the pet store with one puppy and no crab!

James named her Sunny, which I thought was cute. She loves to be held. She loves to cuddle! She rarely barks. The Gnap kids love her to death because she chases them. James and I have had a lot of fun with her so far!!!
