The Final Trimester!

I am officially in the third trimester! I will actually be twenty-nine weeks tomorrow, so I'm one week into it. So far I've been feeling okay; I definitely have noticed me getting a little tired more often. Some good news is that I do not have Gestational Diabetes; I was a little nervous about it given my family history of Type 2 Diabetes. The downside is that I am a little anemic, which is normal in the third trimester. My midwife prescribed me an iron supplement, so hopefully that will help take care of that. The only complaint I really have is that it is becoming difficult to sleep and stay asleep. I usually wake up around 3 in the morning, and I'll be awake until 5. I really enjoy feeling two babies move at once! It is pretty exciting; I'm usually able to definitively tell which one is moving. The girls seem to move the most for their Daddy, who seems to know how to really get them excited!!! Here is a picture of our family at 27 weeks.

I had another ultrasound today. I have them every two weeks from now on. This means that I will have plenty pictures of the girls! They checked me for signs of pre-term labor, and I still am not showing any signs. Praise God!! Baby B was apparently in a perfect position for a 3D picture, so the ultrasound tech went ahead and took two pictures of her! We think she's pretty cute! We tried to get a good picture of Baby A, but she wasn't in a good position. However, we will try again in another two weeks. We would appreciate prayers concerning their position. We are praying that Baby A becomes head down in the next few weeks. We have a little less than 11 weeks left to go before I hit my due date! We can't wait to meet our girls!
